Name: Kameron Neal
What I do: My role at Odysys is to help innkeepers and hotel owners compete with the likes of online travel agencies by helping them increase direct bookings. I also have a keen eye for design that I use to help unique properties have the web presence to match.
Past lives: Economic Development for Central Oregon and the Bend Venture Conference.
Hospitality background: I have become an expert in the guest-facing side of hospitality. I love staying at new places and have seen first hand what works vs. what doesn’t.
Ideal room: I really enjoy staying in places that are unique. Customized rooms and oddball locations, these places tend to attract an unbeatable energy.
Best hotel memory: I was fortunate enough to travel through Europe upon completion of college. It was on this trip, while staying in a repurposed newspaper factory in a small town in Belgium, that I met a group of misfits. We ended up having so much fun that we all stayed at the hostel much longer than planned.
Hotel I’m dying to stay at: Bivacco Gervasutti, Mont Blanc, Italy (see photo). I mean it's in Italy…
Pro tip: The majority of bookings come from a strong online presence. You have built a property that you are proud of; your web presence should reflect that and we can help!
