What I do: As Marketing & Communications Manager, I create content for the Odysys blog (the one you're reading right now), website and social media; oversee PR; and work with clients. I do a lot of research and a lot of writing.
Past lives: AmeriCorps volunteer, newspaper reporter, freelance writer
Hospitality background: I grew up in a tourist town, so I spent many summers working hospitality jobs in restaurants, at resorts, or in resort restaurants.
Ideal hotel room: Sleeping is something I value very highly, so my ideal room has a memory-foam bed and nice linens. Most of all, I love a balcony from which I can take in the view while I sip coffee or beer.
Best hotel memory: Several years ago, my brother and I stayed at the D&D Brewery & Lodge while traveling through Honduras. We were hot, tired, and dirty. The D&D was like a jungle mirage: burgers, brews, and a pool.
Hotel I’m dying to stay at: The Library Hotel in NYC. As a fanatical reader, I think it sounds heavenly.
